Radiographic Collage
‘Radiographic Collage’ was created from images captured using a film-based x-ray machine. I had the opportunity to experiment with this technique on various subjects. Creating art through scientific technology reveals the object’s intriguing inner shapes and forms, aspects that produce astounding beauty that would otherwise not be seen.
My images, of shells and flowers, were all produced on x-ray film and then digitally reproduced to refine and collage into a single image. Each segment in ‘Radiographic Collage’ is a detailed component of the subjects captured.
